By purchasing a cask share (Cask Share #101) of this Islay (B) Single Malt from 2018, after bottling, you will receive 2 bottles of 12-years-old Islay (B) Single Malt whisky at cask strength.
Due to rights, we are not allowed to write the distillery name here, or on the labels when the cask is bottled, but it is from the same distillery as our Cask Share #001. And if you visit this coordinate (55.75672, -6.28981) on Google Maps, you will quickly find out which distillery it is.
We expect this Cask Share #101 from 2018 to age until mid-October 2030, when the whisky will have aged 12 years. The bottling takes place immediately after the whisky in the cask has reached 12 years, unless we in the tasting panel assess that the cask should be bottled before or possibly postponed to a later date.
If this Cask Share (Islay (B) Single Malt 2018 cask #101) is bottled when the whisky is 12 years old (on 12-10-2030), we expect approx. 230 bottles of 70cl out of the cask at a cask strength of approx. 54.6% – the cask will be bottled unfiltered and without the addition of colour. However, we only put 101 shares for sale in this Cask Share Cask, as we will save some bottles for the store and as extra security, so we are sure that there are enough bottles for all Cask Share members in the cask.
Should a cask sample along the way reveal that this Islay (B) Single Malt cask must be bottled sooner or later, the co-owners will be informed of this. - The price stated on the cask shares, is per cask share and is for the alcohol in each cask share
- The size of each cask share, is stated for each unit under “Bottles per share”
If a larger share of the casks is wanted, offers for this can be made after contacting Fadandel.dk - The certificate of the cask share is sent together with your purchase invoice and together is the proof of your purchase
The certificate is personal and therefore cannot be transferred to a third party, without prior agreement with Fadandel.dk - When the bottles from the individual cask are on their way home to Denmark, the co-owners will be sent an invoice on import fee that are stated on the cask share
- The bottle size is set at 70cl standard round bottles, unless otherwise stated on the individual casks share. And always bottled at cask strength
- All bottles in the cask are affixed with Fadandel’s label, unless otherwise agreed in advance
- After the cask has been bottled and the bottles have arrived in Denmark, the co-operatives will be contacted for the collection of the bottles
- If the bottles in your share are to be shipped to you, you will be charged for the shipping
- Import fee is a calculation, and are to be paid when the bottles have arrived in Denamrk. The price are based on the known expenses (at the time of purchase of the cask), which are bottling of the cask, bottles, labels, home transport and VAT
- Should unforeseen expenses be incurred in connection with the return of the share bottles, this price will be regulated, as we cannot foresee the possible costs changes, that may come in the future on alcohol imports
- Cask samples, Fadandel.dk will periodically (about every 2 years) take a sample from each cask
These cask samples are taken in part to follow the development of the cask/whisky, and for customers can buy a sample on the web shop and in our store - Cask tastings, Fadandel.dk holds tastings, where you can taste several different cask samples on the same evening – these are announced on our shop under upcoming tastings, our Facebook page and via our newsletter (in Danish), which you can sign up at the bottom of this page ” SUBSCRIBE TO NEWSLETTER”
