In collaboration with Stauning Whisky, Fadandel.dk is proud to present Fadandel #108 (Stauning R.Y.E.), a rare opportunity to become a co-owner of a truly unique Danish whisky cask with a special story. This whisky is a Stauning R.Y.E., currently maturing in an ex-Demerara rum barrel. By purchasing one cask share, you secure two full 70 cl bottles, bottled at natural cask strength, when the whisky is scheduled to be released in 2027 as a 10-year-old.
The whisky was initially matured in new American oak before being transferred on December 1st, 2020 to this 2nd fill rum cask – a characterful barrel previously used for one of our own Demerara rum bottlings. This finishing period adds depth and complexity, introducing exotic layers of sweetness and spice that beautifully complement Stauning’s distinctive R.Y.E. profile.
Bottling will take place when the whisky reaches 10 years of age, unless our tasting panel determines that the cask should be bottled earlier or allowed further time to develop. Quality always comes first. The cask is expected to yield approximately 190 bottles in 2027, at an estimated cask strength of around 56.3% ABV. To ensure allocation for all cask shareholders, while retaining a small number of bottles for later release in the shop, only 65 shares are offered for sale. A mock-up image of the bottle, showing our expected final appearance, can be found in the image gallery on this page.
The total price for two full 70 cl bottles of this Fadandel.dk exclusive Stauning R.Y.E. 10 Year Old (Cask Strength) is the share price of DKK 1,299 + DKK 230 = DKK 1,529, corresponding to DKK 764.50 per bottle within the cask share.
The additional DKK 230 is payable only once the whisky has been bottled.
When you purchase a cask share at Fadandel.dk, you are not just buying whisky, you are becoming part of the cask’s journey from warehouse to bottle.
