North British 33Y (1st Fill Bourbon) – 47.1%
This North British, has stored for 33 years before we (Fadandel) on 14-01-2024 had the cask bottled (the same day that Frederik X became king of Denmark), at a cask strength of 47.1% – which is quite good after 33 years in cask, of which the last 3 years are in 1st Fill Ex Bourbon Barrel.
The cask has previously been offered in cask shares here at the shop, and the rest of the bottles are now for sale here and in our physical store.
When we had the cask bottled, 178 bottles of 70cl came out of the cask, of which 132 bottles have been sold in cask shares.
The North British distillery is located in the Scottish Lowlands region, where the vast majority of Grain distilleries are located. The distillery here produces approx. 73 million liters of alcohol per year on their three Coffey Stills. The North British distillery is owned by the two big giants, Diago and Edrington. North British fills their casks, it is done at approx. 68.6% ABV.
At Fadandel, we have other bottlings than this 33-years-old North British in the shop, you can find them here.
